About

Thousand Spices, a modern Indian restaurant   run by Chef Amit Behal,  Ex Executive Chef, Oberoi Maidens, New Delhi, India  with  more than 15 years of international experience.

Thousand Spices started from 27th September 2004 as a little Indian eatery opposite Homebush railway station. The casual, cafe style and upbeat Indian music create a relaxed and fun atmosphere to enjoy truly great traditional Indian food.

As the name suggests the food has just the right balance of various spices, not strong or overpowering but a delectable mélange of so many wonderful flavours. The restaurant gets is name from the variety of herbs, spices and condiments used in creating unique cuisine.

The chefs at Thousand Spices strive to serve food as served in India with the same balance and incorporating fresh local and quality produce. The menu is changed seasonally keeping the fresh flavours of the season in mind; the food is light and very affordable to the pocket.

Beyond its casual decor, this humble restaurant has one promise for patrons: authentic Indian food at affordable prices.
